March 2 is Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.
I learned to read because of his book ‘And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street.’ Reading has always been a tool for survival in my life. I escaped when I was hiding from my dads (I had 4), I escaped when I was hiding from mom (only 1), I escaped from responsibilities, I still use reading to escape from the world I’m in. He changed my life when I realised how to put letters together into words. And now, I can almost manage to put words into sentences and fairly literate paragraphs!!!!
Hooray for the Doctor and this most important day.
